The Wedding Day Diet, created by Matt Marshall, is a 30 day fat loss program that claims to help you lose over 15 pounds of fat in 30 days. The creator himself says he used this technique to lose weight, and has now written down everything he did and put it into an ebook for women who need to quickly lose weight before their weddings.

The basics of the program

The Wedding Day Diet is essentially a low calorie, low carb diet that is combined with a hefty amount of cardio training 6 days a week, along with some basic weight training 3 days a week. From the very beginning, the author warns that this system does require a good amount of effort if you want to see results. If you aren’t in very good shape or haven’t worked out before, it’s wise to consult with your doctor before embarking on any diet plan - especially a fairly rigorous one like this.

The good

The program really shines in its thorough meal plans, which tell you exactly what sort of foods you should be eating. You will have to adjust them for your own protein and fat requirements, and then continue this meal plan for the full 4 weeks. The workout descriptions here are also fairly good, especially if you have no home gym equipment or easy access to a gym. The cardio discussed in this plan is basically vigorous walking, followed by shorter, more intense workouts as you progress. The nice thing about the workouts given in this plan is that they are fairly flexible; if you don’t have the full 30 minutes to work out 6 days a week, then you can cut back slightly and still see results.

The bad

The main downside of this weight loss plan is that it lacks in details. While the author does go into depth about exactly what to eat and how to exercise, you aren’t given a calorie planner or any way to determine your own caloric needs, and will have to consult other websites/materials for that. The bonuses are also flimsy; while they include the weight training guidelines, this information should have been included in the main guide rather than a so-called bonus.

Final review

This program is designed with short term weight loss goals in mind - thus why it is ideal for brides who need to lose weight for a wedding. If you can follow it religiously, you should have no problem seeing results. Keep in mind that The Wedding Day Diet program allows flexibility, but does not provide strict guidance, so if you prefer to be walked through your weight loss plan step-by-step, you should look elsewhere.
